Armindo:
I just finished plumbing the
cooling system for the still. By my
calculations I use about 300 gallons of water to distill 60 gallons of
wine. The French try to keep the temperature of the first
distillation at 13 to 15 C. That means you have to keep the condenser
very cold. Now with the new glycol system I use only 60 gallons
of water each distillation run for cooling and that is the water I use
to clean out the still at the end of the run. "Waste not want not"
I am very excited about my
still Armindo. I think it is a great design
and construction.
